Ive been using the Internet to advertise for 4 years now and during that time I have become increasingly frustrated with Google.
You set a new campaign, write your ad, carefully pick your keywords (after hours of hard work trying to think of the clever ones noone else is using) then submit.... and you get greeted by this great big banner informing you all of your keywords are inactive! But hey not all is lost, simply increase your bid to 50p, or in some extreme cases £5 and off you go??!! Sound Familiar? You bet it does!
This is why I no longer use Google adwords for any form of advertising. You probably cant imagine getting rid of google but trust me, ive done it and so can you! When I explain this to people I have the very same 2 questions thrown at me...
Do I still make money without Google? Yes, I make more.
Has it effected my profits? Yes, its increased them.
Now, how have I been able to do this? By using good quality, cheap ppc search engines where you receive 5 times the amount of traffic for the same cost. I will explain about the companies you should be using!
Enhance; Very easy to work out, set out the same as Google you have seperate campaigns and seperate ad groups. Average cpc $0.08 thats 4 pence in GBP!
Miva; You can choose your Country to advertise, pay an average cpc $0.08, again thats 4 pence in GBP. They are one of the best for driving quality traffic and without doubt the most understated.
Search 123; There mission is to provide real value for money clicks for advertisers. And they do, average cpc $0.06, 3 pence in GBP!
Searchfeed; Great for choosing your target area, 11 countries at your fingertips! Very Strong ROI! Good quality leads.
Goclick; These were fantastic for clicks for a cent but are unfortunutly closing down in February 2008.
If you are use to struggling with Google and looking for ways to lower your advertising costs while generating new business then sign-up, its the best move I ever made and I just hope you can now see life after Google!
Good Luck
